Magnet4US is a Canadian local supplier of neodymium rare-earth magnets, serving Canadian customers for twenty years.
We are one of the largest neodymium rare-earth magnet suppliers in Canada, carrying the widest range of dimensions and the deepest inventory in the country: more than 700 stocked sizes and over 2,000,000 pieces on the shelf, serving over 400 business and institutional customers.
Stocking in Canada is the whole point. Your order ships domestically from our Canadian warehouse, so there is no import duty, no customs brokerage, no cross-border handling fee and no surprise invoice from the courier weeks later. The price you see is the landed cost.
What We Stock
- Disc & Cylinder magnets — round magnets magnetised through the thickness, from 1/16" up to 3" diameter. The workhorse of closures, sensors and holding fixtures.
- Block, Cube & Bar magnets — rectangular sections that concentrate flux along an edge or pole face, suited to channel mounting, linear actuators and separation bars.
- Ring & Washer magnets — annular magnets with a clear bore for a shaft or a fastener, common in rotors, couplings and speaker assemblies.
- Countersunk magnets — a tapered through-hole takes a flat-head screw so the magnet sits flush and is mechanically retained as well as magnetically held.
- Adhesive-backed disc magnets — 3M pressure-sensitive adhesive on the north or south face for stick-on mounting to signage, panels and displays.
- Pot & Cup magnets — a magnet in a steel cup that returns the flux and concentrates it on one face, multiplying working pull force. Available with hook, threaded stud or tapered hole.
- Strongest N52 magnets — the highest commercial energy product available, for applications where the space envelope is fixed and the force is not.
Custom Made Magnets
Beyond the catalogue we supply custom made magnets to drawing: non-standard dimensions, alternative grades, specific coatings, and magnetisation directions such as axial, diametric or multipole. Send us a drawing or a description of the duty and we will quote tooling, lead time and unit price. Minimum quantities apply to custom production runs.
Materials and Grades
Our magnets are sintered NdFeB (neodymium-iron-boron), the strongest permanent magnet material in commercial production. Grades run from N40 to N52, with N40 and N45 carrying most of the range. The number is the maximum energy product (BH)max in MGOe — an N52 magnet delivers roughly thirty per cent more energy than an N40 of identical geometry. Standard plating is triple-layer NiCuNi (nickel-copper-nickel), which resists corrosion and handling damage; the standard maximum operating temperature is 80°C, and higher-temperature grades (M, H, SH) are available on request.
Each product page lists pull force in pounds, measured perpendicular to a thick mild-steel plate under ideal contact. Real-world holding force is lower wherever the magnet works through paint, plating, an air gap, or thin or non-flat steel — allow a safety factor when designing to it.

The buyer agrees that he/she is responsible for all damages and injuries caused by the magnets, which include personal injuries, property damages, and the magnets damages. The buyer must agree with the terms before purchasing and placing the order online.
Warning and Cautions:
The neodymium magnets we sell are very strong. They must be handled with great care to avoid personal injury and damage to the magnets. Fingers and other body parts can get severely pinched between two attracting magnets. Bones can be broken by larger magnets.
Neodymium magnets are also brittle. They can chip, crack or shatter if allowed to slam together. Gloves and eye protection glasses should be worn when handling these magnets, because shattering magnets can launch pieces at great speeds and sparks may be produced.
The strong magnetic fields of neodymium magnets can also damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, cassette tapes, video tapes or other such devices. Electronics such televisions, VCR, computer monitors and other CRT displays can also be damaged.
Small children should not be allowed to play with neodymium magnets as they can be dangerous. Small magnets pose a choking hazard and should never be swallowed or inserted into any body part. Older children should be supervised.
One should avoid having constant contact with magnets of any size and keep a distance of at least 3 feet to large magnets. So it is with the iron items in your home, such as knife, spoons and forks.
Never allow neodymium magnets near a person with a pacemaker or similar medical device. The strong magnetic fields of the magnets can affect the operation of such devices.
NEVER machining, drilling, sawing or other mechanical alterations on the magnets, not only magnets broken, but the dust from the magnets is very flammable and may release toxic fumes.
Order and Payment
Our business is web site based and therefore most of our customer transactions take place on the internet. Customers that require special assistance with shipping, packaging and/or payments may contact our sales office for further assistance.
We advise all of our clients to complete their transactions by PayPal, which has proven to be both quick and reliable as transaction processing system.
Quotes:
If you require a quote for a custom magnet out of stock, please contact us by phone to discuss your requirements. We generally require a 1000 unit minimum and $500 order value for all custom made magnets purchases. Custom orders are not eligible for returns unless the products do not meet the original mutual confirmed specifications.
Shipping & Cancellation Policy:
We will ship most orders within 1 business day after the payment is received so that you would receive your magnets as quickly as possible.
Because most orders are shipped within 24 hours of payment, canceling an order is difficult. Please notify us immediately, if you decide to cancel it, and we will attempt to stop the order before it is processed and sent out for shipping. If your order has already been processed, we are unable to cancel the order, and it will be subject to our return policy.
Shipping Info
We offer shipping via UPS, DHL, USPS and Canada Post for both domestic and international shipping services. The shipping costs are calculated automatically by a UPS program based on the UPS Ground service, thus most of the orders will be shipped by UPS Ground. Please inform us if expedited service is needed for your order.
All orders for UPS Next Day, 2 Day Expedite & 3 Day Select must be placed by 4 pm Eastern time in order to insure they are shipped the same day as ordered!
We neither require a minimum quantity nor order value, and we do not charge any handle fee on any small orders. However, any order value less than $50.00US will be shipped by USPS First Class Package instead of UPS Standard.
All orders from Canada will be shipped by Canada Post Expedited Service depending on the location of shipping address. If any buyer need to ship by UPS for the higher reliability, please contact us for the quotation.
UPS doesn't ship to PO boxes, so all the orders with PO Boxes will be shipped by USPS service. If you provide invalid PO Box information, or your order is unclaimed or returned to us for any reason, you are responsible for the shipping cost if you require us to re-ship your order.
We can ship orders using USPS priority mail to US, US territories and most foreign countries, but we will not be responsible for delays, damages, open/broken or lost packages. We don't refund shipping cost If your shipment is unclaimed or returned to us for any reason.
We can ship to US domestic addresses, APO/FPO addresses, Hawaii, Alaska and U.S. Territories through USPS priority mail.
Please note that US Priority Mail is NOT track-able. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged USPS First Mail packages.
If you have special shipping requirements, please make arrangements with us BEFORE placing the order. Additional charges may apply for special shipping requirements.
Because the import rules and regulations for each country are different, all import duty, residential charge, and other fees charged by the government and carrier are the responsibility of the buyer.

Delivery Information
Please provide a valid phone number, an email address at the time of checkout. Please note that this information would help the carrier to process the shipment faster and make it easier to locate your place. Your order will be sent to the mailing/billing address on the purchase order information in our system.
Return Policy
We accept returns on all magnets returned to us in original and resalable condition within 30 days of purchase. Polluted or rusted magnets are non-refundable. Shipping fees and return cost are the responsibility of the buyer. A 15% restock charge will be applied to any returned order.
Please contact us before returning any products because all magnets must be shipped in a qualified mailer or box in order to comply with UPS, TNT, FedEx, or Canada Post regulations. Returns in regular envelope or padded envelopes will not be accepted.
Please be advised to contact the carrier if the package received with any visibly damaged at the time of receipt and please contact us ASAP so that we can initiate the damage claim to the carrier for you. Receiver must keep all boxes and packing material, because the carrier may want to inspect the damaged packaging and products.
